67 Tactical Gear Choices

If you are like me, you can never have too many guns or knives. It never hurts to be extra prepared. But knowing where to start or what’s next can be difficult. This list is an attempt to help you build out your tactical gear collection, or at least give you ideas for your next tactical purchase.

If you are looking to build your next gun this might not be the list for you. There are so many fun upgrades to your setup, but in this list I am just recommending completed guns.

This list includes anything from Every Day Carry, EDC, to products that will help you build up your own personal armory.

Why should you follow my list? Well, you shouldn’t. Do you own research. This list is a guide to help you find new ideas. My experience with these products comes from experience and research. I don’t have a personal military background but I grew up hunting all over Alaska and have a love for military books, podcasts, and gear.

What is the best tactical gear?

Here are my picks for the best tactical gear.

0. Training and Practice

This is number 0 on the list because it is the most important part of being prepared. Also, if you are unfamiliar with firearms, it is an absolute necessity.

Practice means regular use of your tools in order to hone your skill and keep your blade sharp. Owning tactical gear is useless without the skills and proficiency to use them in high stress environments.

One of the most important aspects of training is physical and mental training. Tools are great, but the ultimate goal is to never need to use them. Learn how to deescalate situations and have confidence in your physical abilities. I highly recommend Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for this.

1. Palmetto State Armory AR15

WARNING – Buying a Budget AR15 may not be your cheapest option. If you are like me, it will turn into an upgrading project.

However, a good semi-automatic rifle is a good first step to building your tactical gear collection.

My first Ar15 build was going to be a basic build, so I started with a very basic model. After putting a few rounds down range, I starting finding small things that I wanted to upgrade.

Eventually I had upgraded every single piece of my gun, and what I thought was going to be a cheaper option, ended up costing me more than double what a Daniel Defense Rifle would have cost me.

If you are someone with self control when it comes to purchases, a bare bones rifle could be the route for you. This gives you the option to put rounds down range, without breaking the bank first.

Palmetto State Armory (PSA) make a great budget option AR15. Why are they so cheap? Well PSA makes all their rifles from start to finish and so they are able to make a budget friendly option. But if you are looking for nothing flashy, just something that you know will work when you need it, PSA could be the rifle for you.

Having shot a few PSA rifles, there is nothing cheap about them. They are a quality rifle that provides an option for people shopping on a budget. There are tons of options out there if you are looking for the best AR-15 rifle.

2. Geissele Automatics Super Duty AR15

If you are looking to go a little more high end with your AR15 build the Geissele Automatics build gives you high quality upgrades, to an already great gun. It comes with an upgraded trigger and an industry leading NanoWeapon finish that makes everything operate smooth and easy to clean.

There are a lot of small features on this rifle that just make sense, like the trigger and the Maritime Bolt Catch, but the price can be a little bit on the more expensive side.

If you have already built an AR15, upgrading your current setup with Geissele’s parts is always a good option that can help you have similar reliability and smoothness, without needed to buy the Super Duty rifle complete setup. Starting with a trigger upgrade is always a good idea and can give you more control over your rifle.

3. SigSauer P320

I grew up a 1911 guy, and basically only shot 45 ACP. However, as I have gotten older I have seen the benefits of the 9mm and really enjoy shooting Sig. There are lots of handgun options and depending on what you are looking for, here is a list of best handguns for home defense.

Basically only shot Kimbers growing up and my first handgun was a Smith and Wesson 1911, but for concealed carry this Sig fits well in a holster and is my go-to EDC.

4. Glock G21

I had to put a Glock on the list because they are a staple for home defense and duty weapons. I will admit, I even own one of these, but it is not my favorite gun. If you are looking for something that you could run over with your truck, pick up, rack a round, and have confidence in. This might be the gun for you. If you are looking for something fun to shoot, not my first pick. Also, I am big fan of .45 ACP, which is why I chose the 21 over the 19.

5. Daniel Defense DD5 AR-10

Daniel Defense has become well-known for manufacturing high quality and accurate rifles. They do come with a higher price tag, but for an out-of-the-box rifle, you can have confidence in Daniel Defense.

For anyone who just asks, what’s the best AR-10 or AR-15, you can confidently recommend Daniel Defense products. Their attention to detail and overall reliability is just great.

6. Benelli M4 Shotgun

You can’t have a tactical gear list without the Benelli M4. A heavy crowd favorite for home defense and tactical situations, this shotgun is just awesome. The easy to use pistol grip is a nice touch, and the Benelli M4 has a lot of customizable features such as lights and sights, that can be mounted with ease.

The only downside is the price. If you are looking for a budget option, this may not be the gun for you.

7. Benchmade Bailout

Benchmade Bailout

My new go-to everyday carry knife.

I have had a few benchmade knives and they make a great knife. If you read my blog more you will see I am a very big fan of Benchmade products. That being said, the Bailout is extremely lightweight.

I am someone who wears a lot of boardshorts, sweats, joggers, and pants with elastic waistbands. I know, not always ideal for carrying tactical gear. But sometimes comfort just can’t be sacrificed.

When you are looking for an EDC knife, there are lots of options. Make sure you know what your intended use is and take a look at this list for the best tactical knife.

8. Gerber StrongArm

Are you looking for your hunting/camping/tactical/everything/anything you want knife? Something that is just reliable, durable, and easy to use. Well the Gerber StrongArm is the knife for you.

Tested over time the Gerber StrongArm is a great option without having to completely break the bank.

9. Benchmade Infidel OTF Knife

This knife is a little more flashy than the others, and you defiantly pay for it. It has an out-the-front (OTF) automatic blade action and a double sided dagger blade.

The dagger blade is nice for combat and self defense situations, but makes the utility of the blade a little limited, compared to Tanto style blade.

10. Spyderco Yojimbo 2

Designed by noted personal-defense trainer Michael Janich, the Yojimbo 2 is an evolved expression of his original Spyderco Yojimbo design, which pioneered the application of the Wharncliffe blade in tactical folders.

If you are looking for a tactical knife that was made specifically for self defense, this could be the knife for you.

11. Triple Aught Design FAST Pack Litespeed

I love to support companies who make it a priority to be made in America, and Triple Aught Design (TAD) is no exception. They pride themselves on quality over everything. Their FAST Pack Lightspeed is constructed to “Combine the best of military design and mountaineering ergonomics”

The only downside is the price and availability. Make sure to be put on their notification list when it comes back in stock.

12. 5.11 Tactical Range Ready 43L

Want a bag that was well thought out and that made by someone who actually goes to the range with lots of gear? This bag is all that and more. It has plenty of pockets and separators to help you stay organized and efficient in your range experience.

It also has bags for picking up brass and keeping your bag clean. 5.11 Tactical is known for their durable construction without breaking the bank. This bag has been put through the ringer and is still my go-to range bag.

13. Ridge Wallet

Tactical gear can include everything in your EDC. If you currently do not have a wallet with RFID blocking technology, it is time for an upgrade. Your personal information is valuable and easy to steal. Having a tactical wallet gives you confidence and it looks and feels pretty sleek. Ridge wallets have taken a minimalistic design without compromising available space.

14. Silencerco Omega 300

Silencerco Omega 300

There are a lot of great suppressors out there, but the gold standard is the Omega 300. The Omega 300 is rated for all calibers ranging from .223 REM/5.56 NATO to .300 WM.

The quick detach feature allows you to move this suppressor between rifles easily, if you are looking to only buy one suppressor for multiple rifles.

Why get a suppressor? Go to the range once with a suppressor and tell me it’s not just courteous. After switching my rifles over to suppressed, it just feels rude to be so loud.

15. DeadAir Odessa 9

Shooting with handgun suppressors can be difficult. Often you are unable to use your factory signs and have to raise up any of your pistol red dots. Not only that, but suppressors can be long and reduce your maneuverability.

The DeadAir Odessa 9 aims to fix these problems by creating a low profile handgun suppressor. It also is completely modular, allowing you to add or remove baffles for increased sound suppression or decreased length.

16. Salomon Outbound Prism Gore-Tex

You will basically always find me in a pair of Birkenstocks. I have like 4 pairs and they are by far my favorite shoe, but they are not at all tactical or practical. If for any reason I need more than a Birkenstock, my go-to is Salomon shoes. I like that they are low profile and durable. I can wear them in almost any situation and have confidence in their ability to handle the terrain and weather.

17. Kuiu Kenai Hooded Jacket

What makes a jacket tactical? It’s easy, Kuiu makes it.

Well worth every penny, this jacket is warm, light, waterproof, and comes in a variety of colors and camo patterns. This will not be the last Kuiu on this list, because it is just the best.

18. Anything else from Kuiu

If you haven’t heard enough about Kuiu, get ready, I’m about to change your life. Kuiu is the leader in high performance, ultra lightweight performance hunting gear.

If you are looking for clothing, camo, or hunting gear, Kuiu has you covered. Kuiu’s focus on quality is unparalleled and it is gear that I trust most when hunting for sheep in Alaska. Everything on their site can be included on this tactical gear list.

19. Cleared Hot Podcast Hat

Tactical Hat

I am always wearing a hat.

When choosing a hat I like to try and support companies and/or people. Recently my favorite hat has been the Cleared Hot Podcast hat, because Andy Stumpf is hilarious and he makes a pretty good looking hat.

20. Pig Full Dexterity Tactical (FDT) Alpha Glove

The most important thing when looking for tactical gloves is do they enhance or detract from your ability to preform. Some gloves may be “tactical” but end up being a hinderance due to size or restrictive movement.

Gloves should provide you with increased grip and protection, without sacrificing mobility and dexterity. All the metal knuckles in the world won’t do you any favors if you can’t operate your tools anymore.

21. Ten Thousand Tactical Pant

Ill skip over the obvious, and won’t recommend the Kuiu Switchback pant, even tho it’s great. When looking for a tactical pant, I am also looking for something that I can wear daily. This makes it difficult to wear some of the “tactical” pant options out there because they are just not flattering at all, and I want my wife to stay with me.

This is why I recommend the Ten Thousand Tactical Pant. Not only was it designed to be rugged and flexible, but it was designed to be something you could wear around town without getting weird looks. Everything by Ten Thousand is made with quality and are a great option for someone who wants a more modern look.

22. Arc’teryx Beta LT Jacket

Not the cheapest option, but Arc’teryx is known for their quality. Arc’teryx LEAF is the Law Enforcement and Armed forces division of Arc’teryx. And they pride themselves on being an industry leader in technical apparel and gear built to handle the harshest of outdoor environments.

This rain jacket is no exception. If you are looking for something that will keep you dry while giving you breathability and maneuverability, it might cost a little extra, but Arc’teryx is well worth the price.

23. Black Point Tactical Mini WING™ Light Mounted

Now this is not a recommendation. I try not to recommend any holsters, but rather try to just educate. The most important thing when choosing a holster is comfort and usability. What is the point of getting the most tactical holster, if it is so uncomfortable that you never use it? It has to be able to integrate into your daily routine, which means this is different for every single person.

24. Plano Field Ammo Box

Plano Ammo Can

Whats the point of having a collection of guns if you don’t have an even bigger collection of ammo. When storing ammo I looking for easy of transport, to and from the range, and storability. This means having light stackable ammo cans is what I am looking for, and you can’t beat Plano for the price.

I will add a caveat, I live in a relatively dry climate. This means that I am not worried about water or condensation in my ammo storage. If this is the case, investing a little more into weatherproof cans or metal cans might make sense for you.

25. Stopbox USA

Stopbox

Im a worse case scenario kinda guy. I like the idea of having a handgun case that is completely mechanical and easy to access. Nothing is more frustrating than technology malfunctions, and a non-electronic case takes that factor out of the equation. The next factor is quick access. The last thing you want in a high stakes situation is to be messing around with keys. The unique finger combination lock provides secure easy access, in any situation.

The construction of these boxes could be a little more robust, but for the price and functionality, I love my Stopbox. It gives me the peace of mind that it is locked away, while at the same time providing quick access.

26. Liberty USA Gun Safe

Liberty is the #1 selling line of safes in the US. They provide a budget friendly option for anyone looking for a serious safe. Proper gun storage is just as important as proper gun training and should be a priority for all new gun owners. Liberty even makes some higher quality safes that can be insured for life. But as far as bang for your buck, the USA line is a great start.

27. Vaultech Lifepod 2.0

The are situations where you may not be able to bring your valuables or firearm with you. You may be out shopping and need to enter a government building or a building that restricts concealed carry. You are responsible for the safety of your firearm. Even if your car is locked, you should have extra security for your firearm. Vaultech makes it easy to store and stash your valuables.

It does run a little small, so depending on your setup, it may not work for you.

28. Pelican V700 Vault Takedown Case

This is my go-to travel case. I have been a huge fan of Pelican for a long time, and trust them will all my hard case needs. From photography gear to guns, they make a case for any situation, and their Vault line is great for travel. It has exterior locking holes that are easy to put TSA approved locks on. It is also high impact and weather resistant for any 4-wheeler or snow-machine travel.

29. GrooveLife Belt

I hate belts. Really I just hate any pant that does not have an elastic waistband. But I am coming around because my ability to concealed carry is limited by the my hatred of belts. As far as belts go, the GrooveLife belt is not a bad option. It provides a sleek design with a variety of color choices.

It also doesn’t hurt that GrooveLife is an Alaskan company with a focus on tactical and outdoor gear. They got their start in silicone rings but have expanded to belts and wallets, with a focus on tactical and adventurous lifestyles.

30. Fenix PD35 TAC

A good light is a great addition to your tactical gear collection. When looking for a tactical light I look at a few things. First, how bright it is it, and in that category the Fenix does not disappoint. Next, am I going to need to stock up on batteries? With this flashlight, the answer is no.

It comes with a rechargeable battery, but also gives you the option to use CR123 batteries if the rechargeable battery dies. Lastly, does it get hot. The Fenix does get warm, but regulates heat by moving between modes automatically after prolonged use. This keeps your battery alive longer and regulates heat.

31. Surefire M600V Scout Light

When it comes to mounted lights, Surefire has made a name for themselves. It is not the cheapest option, but some things shouldn’t be cheap. Your ability to see in a high pressure, high stakes situation. Not a time to cheap out.

The Surefire Scout Light comes with a low profile M-Lok mount option that makes it easy to install and maneuver to add maximal functionality. This light is the gold-standard of rifle mounted lighting.

32. Surefire XC1 Compact Handgun Weaponlight

Tactical preparation means that you are prepared for worst case scenario. What happens when a home invasion or attack happens at night. A tactical advantage would be light, and allowing you to keep the lights off while controlling a source of light could be beneficial. When looking for a tactical light, the most important thing is reliability.

When in a life and death situation, can you have too many tactical advantages? Nope.

33. Benchmade SOCP Dagger Fixed Blade Knife

This is a great exterior kit knife for quick draw defense. The tactical sheath is designed for MOLLE attachment and has holes for para-cord connection as well. This knife does not fit well into pockets for EDC carry, but rather is a great tactical attachment for exterior kit.

34. Suunto 9 Peak Pro

The Suunto 9 Peak Pro was tested according to US military standards. It is waterproof up to 100 meters and has a much better GPS for those with an active lifestyle. The Suunto watch has a superior battery life to the Apple Watch and still can give you any notifications directly to your watch. If you have an active lifestyle and would like to track physical health as well as location/weather notifications, the Suunto 9 Peak Pro is a great addition to your EDC.

35. Magpul MS3 Sling GEN2

Sometime is can be hard to choose between single point attachment and two point attachment for your sling configuration. It could be dependent on the tactical situation. The Magpul MS3 Sling gives you the option of both single and two point configuration. The customizability does not at all take away from the quality. Magpul products are made to last and made for combat.

36. Crye Precision Jumpable Plate Carrier 2.0

I have a mobility over bulk mindset. I am a smaller guy, and if something is too bulky, it inhibits my ability to preform. I would rather be able to preform like I train, than have extra pockets and zippers. This plate carrier is perfect for that. It comes in just under 1 pound and has the ability to be minimalistic or purchase additional MOLLE attachments for customizability.

37. Armored Republic AR500 A1 – Alloy Body Armor

For emergency situations I like level 3+ armor. It provides protection for common AR platform rounds as well as handguns. Even if SHTF, I don’t think I would have a need for level 4 armor. This may be poor planning on my part, but I am playing a game of odds. I would rather save some maneuverability and weight while still preparing for most likely outcome. The AR500 plates are priced just right and offer a few lighter options with their A2 and A3 models.

38. Rangetime Targets- 12×20 x 3/8 Laser Cut AR500 Hostage Steel Target

This is a crowd pleaser. If you go out and shoot or if your range allows you to bring your own steel targets, this is a budget friendly option. The hostage attachment gives you two target size options for drilling or just for fun. This target has help up to thousands of rounds and looks almost new (with a fresh coat of spray paint) even after 7.56 rounds.

The only thing that hasn’t held up will is the base. Because the base isn’t AR500 steel, if someone shoots the base stand, it punctures easily. Just keep that in mind when friends and family are new/less experienced handling firearms. They do sell the base replacement separate, but that is an expensive piece.

39. Hard Head Veterans Ballistic Helmet ATE Gen II

When picking a helmet, I think the most important (and maybe only) factor in your choice should be reliability. I mean, it protects the most important piece of equipment you have, your head. Although the HHV Ballistic Helmet may not have all the same features as some of the more “tactical” choices, it is reliable and comes with a 10 year warranty, and goes through more testing than most other helmets.

40. Vortex Viper PST

Vortex Scope

When choosing a scope for your rifle, the price tag can be hard to swallow. However, what good is a high precision rifle without the optics to keep you accurate?

If you are going to be spending a lot of money on a scope, it helps to know that it is covered by one of the best warranties I have ever heard of. Vortex’s Unlimited Unconditional Lifetime Warranty can not be beat. I have heard stories of people running over their spotting scopes or binos with their truck and getting it replace, no questions asked. You can not beat that piece of mind.

Not only is their warranty unbeatable, but the quality of their scopes is just incredible. I personally have a Vortex scope on multiple of my rifles because the glass is clean and the visual is great, and I never have to worry if life happens.

41. EOTech HHS V

If you are looking for something to mount on your AR platform that can transition between short range and long range combat quickly, this holosight combo could be a good fit. Moving between 5x and 1x magnification is achieved through a Switch-To-Side (STS) mount that is easy to operate. This holosight also has a 1 MOA red dot, meaning that the dot does not obstruct your view at 5x view.

This model is easy to use is very well constructed, but does not come with the same warranty as Vortex.

42. Trijicon RMR Type 2

I was talking with my brother a few months ago about upgrading to a red dot sight on his handgun. He was a little skeptical, because a more traditional shooter had always told him that he just needed more time at the range. More rounds down range is always a good option. But in high stress situations, you are going to want every tactical advantage possible. So why not have a sight? This made the decision easy.

The Trijicon is the gold standard of pistol sights. It is a little pricey but pays for itself with durability and battle field tested quality.

43. Vortex Spark AR Red Dot

If you are looking for something reliable that you can throw on your AR platform without having to worry, the Spark is for you. A good red dot sight is great for home defense, because it is made for quick target acquisition and close combat.

You may be looking at other budget red dot options, but with the Vortex warranty, there is no better bang for your buck option.

44. Gatorz MARAUDER

Are you looking for glasses that not only look hardcore, but are actually hardcore? Your Ray Bans may look cool but they don’t meet ballistic fragment protection requirements. You know what they say, you don’t need ballistic eye protection, until you do, then you wish you had it.

45. XtraTuf 15in Legacy Boot

Tactical does not always mean sleek and sexy. XtraTuf is evidence of that. These boots not be flashy, but they are a staple footwear in Alaska. Tactical readiness means that you are prepared for any situation, and if I am going anywhere near the ocean, I want to be in a boot that is actually waterproof. Not water resistant, but bomb-proof.

If XtraTufs are good enough for Alaskan commercial fishermen, they are good enough for me.

46. Leatherman Raptor Rescue

Priority number one is staying safe. What happens when SHTF? It is important that you are prepared for worst case scenario and the Raptor Rescue is a great addition to your kit for just that time. It easily attaches to your MOLLE gear and comes with a 25 year warranty.

47. Railscales G10 in MLOK

Railscale

Sometime you just need a little flair on your kit. It also helps when that flare provides grip and heat protection for your AR platform Rail. Railscales are easy to attach, are durable and lightweight, and they just look cool. Huge fan of Railscales.

48. Combat Application Tourniquet (CAT)

Whether you adding to an existing first aid kit, or just adding the necessities to a kit, tourniquets are a MUST HAVE. When in doubt and your extremities are bleeding, A tourniquet can be a life saver in a pinch. Since bullet holes and knife wounds cause a lot bleeding, tourniquets should be an easily accessible piece of every kit. And Combat Application Tourniquets are the gold standard

49. Surviveware Comprehensive Premium First Aid Kit Emergency Medical Kit

This first aid kit is not a personal kit, it is a comprehensive 200 piece kit. It is important to have a medical kit accessible in most situations. This means having one at home and another in vehicles. This kit is not a complete 100% no holes kit. It is a great starting point and you should continue to expand your medical abilities and material over time.

50. Smith & Wesson 1911

Smith & Wesson 1911

I grew up shooting 1911 exclusively. So when I was old enough to go out and buy my own handgun, I was sold on getting a 1911. I am a little bias on this pick, because I have put more rounds through this gun than most my other ones. It is fun to shoot and looks great.

I think it is a little big for a concealed (my dad just says I need to be a man), but it is a great home defense and range gun. I also take it out hiking because a 45mm is much more likely to stop a bear than a 9mm.

Because the 1911 has been the standard for so long there are a lot of options out there. I love my Smith & Wesson, but take a look at some of the other options on the market.

51. Walker’s Razor Slim Hearing Protection

Walker ear pro

As far as bang-for-your-buck hearing protection, the Walker Razor Slim have been my go-to. The noise canceling technology is about as good as your can get for under $50. They are comfortable to wear and easy to store.

If you are looking for something that will truly be no-profile, there are a lot of in-ear options that have been growing in popularity, they are just a bit more expensive.

52. NB-100 Tactical Gas Mask – Full Face Respirator with 40mm Defense Filter

If you are looking to prepare for any attack, a gas mask and respirator is a great addition to your emergency preparedness kit. What I have found is that a lot of gas masks have dual sided filters. This may be ok for certain situations, but in the event that you need to wear a mask and hold your rifle to your cheek, this may be difficult.

It is important to have gear that will allow you to preform in the same manner you practice. Don’t obstruct your abilities with the gear you buy.

53. Aero Precision Lower

Aero Precision Lower

If you are building an Ar15 or AR10 from the ground up, Aero Precision is the way to go. With so many options and similarities between companies that manufacture uppers and lowers, it used to be hard to stand out. Not anymore. Aero precision stands out among the rest for their quality and reliability.

Also, it’s never a bad idea to stock up on a few extra uppers and lowers for future builds.

54. Proof Barrel

If you are looking for a rifle upgrade, a new barrel is a good one to look at. I have been impressed with every Proof barrel I have shot, and it was a MUST HAVE when building my latest AR15. They have both steel and carbon fiber options. This is not a budget option, but it is worth every penny.

55. Black Widow Recurve Bow

I grew up shoot recurve bows. My parents used to just drop me off at the local archery range in Alaska while they ran errands and I would spend hours shooting. As I have gotten older, it is a skill that has defiantly been lost. However, my brother and dad recently got back into hunting with a recurve bow and it has me thinking about jumping back in.

As far as quality and value, there is no better option than a Black Widow Bow. It may be hard to find one, but if you can build one or find one second hand, I would recommend swooping it up.

56. Triad Tactical Stock Pack

Easy access additional ammo is always a good thing. This is easy with AR and AK platforms because extra mags can be placed on kits. However, this gets slightly more difficult with bolt action rifles. When hunting, having access to additional rounds can be the difference between success and failure. This tactical stock pack has ammo storage as well as a small zipper pocket for distance and drop calculations cards.

57. Origin Gi

This wouldn’t be a complete list without a Jocko product. The dude embodies tactical. In all honesty, I could not be happier with my Origin gi. I have multiple gis, but I always come back to the Origin gi anytime I can. The fabric moves and breaths great, without sacrificing any durability.

It is a little more expensive than some of the competitors, but it is worth it to support USA made products. These gis are the only gis completely manufactured in the USA. Here is a list of the best BJJ gis.

58. War Tribe Gear Rash Guard

I like minimalistic, not so flashy, rash guards. I don’t have the skill yet to be rolling up in a cheetah print rash guard, without getting made fun of. War Tribe Gear makes high quality minimalistic designs that can be worn with confidence. Also, you can’t too many rash guards. Showing up in a smelling rash guard is about as bad as it gets.

59. RVCA Grappler Elastic Walkshorts

I had to throw these shorts on the list after 2022 ADCC. The Rotolo brothers are the real deal and are some of the most fun BJJ competitors to watch. RVCA provides a lot of performance wear, and have entered the BJJ scene big with the Rotolo brothers.

60. Onnit Kettle Bells

The first step to tactical success is fitness. If you are not focusing on strength and fitness then you are not tactically prepared. What good is a armory, bug-out bag, and all the gear you need to survive, if you can’t even bug-out without getting winded?

Kettle bells have been a staple in strength training for ages. Some workout trends come and go, but the kettle bell has been consistent through it all. If you are looking for a full body strength and conditioning tool, go back to the basics. Heavy metal balls.

61. Aero Precision M4E1 Lower Dad Hat

Tactical dad hat

Like I said earlier, I am pretty much always wearing a hat. So I need a few different options, and I was looking for a dad hat for a long time. This is my new go-to dad hat. Nothing better than supporting an awesome brand.

62. Kill Crew – Wolves Among Sheep Hoodie

One of my favorite hoodies. It perfectly summarizes how I want to feel.

63. Bravo Company Manufacturing AR15

Bravo Company Manufacturing has quickly become one of the most sought after high quality AR manufacturers. BCM is trusted worldwide by security and military professionals. Finding one in stock has been one of the hardest parts about ordering a BCM rifle, but they are worth the wait.

64. Rifle Dynamics 702 Custom AK47

There is more to life than just AR platforms. That might sound blasphemous, but wait till you see Rifle Dynamics AK platforms. Manufactured with the highest quality, giving you an AK that you can be proud of, even in America.

Sometimes we forget that the AK is the most manufactured rifle in the world, and as far as reliability, the basics of an AK just keep working. It would be wrong to say start with this gun, but if you are looking at expanding your gun collection, the AK might be the next gun for you.

65. Winkler RnD Hawk

If you are a fan of Jack Carr or his books, you might be familiar with the Winkler tomahawk. This particular tomahawk has been a favorite of the special forces community and has a rich history.

All of their tools are custom manufactured with quality being the most important factor.

66. Cutco Drop Point Hunting Knife

There is a knife for every situation. The best knifes for hunting and fishing are Cutco knives. I have been a big fan of these knives for years and have used them all over Alaska. This past summer I was floating the Kenai fishing for salmon and I did have a filet knife fall off our raft. That is the only downside, they are not cheap. But they the longest lasting outdoor knifes I have ever used.

67. Sako .308

Had to include my first rifle. This bolt action rifle has been all over Alaska with me. It dropped my first moose in one shot and has been my go-to hunting rifle ever since. .308 can’t shoot as far as some other rounds, but for anything within 500 yards, I feel confident in this rifle. This rifle has been beaten up in snow, rain, wind, and is still one of the most reliable and accurate rifles I have.

My dad will sometimes get frustrated with how easy and accurate this rifle is. He has built a few rifles and spent quite a bit of money on hunting rifles, and this Sako can stack up against any of them within 500 yards.
